Integral holding brake (option Kxx) When power is off, the disc brake is spring set. It is designed to keep the load at rest to provide limited braking torque for emergency stop. The brake is not intended to be used as a positioning brake (maximum brake clearance is 0.8 minutes of arc), nor is it intended to circulate continuously to help stop the load. The shaft oil seal (1326AB MOD SSV xxx) Allen Bradley provides a fluoroelastomer shaft oil seal kit that you can install on the motor on site. Use seals in applications where the motor shaft may occasionally be subjected to oil splashes or low pressure water jets. For example, when the motor is exposed to the splash of the coolant nozzle. IMPORTANT: The motor must be fitted with a shaft seal kit to meet IP65 requirements.
Important:
This kit is not suitable for applications where the motor shaft is partially or completely immersed in oil. Important note: IP67 motor option (- L) has factory installed shaft seal, and this kit option is not required!
